This file was put together to demonstrate the new SPOT Messengers performance in a real-world dualsport riding situation. The red tracks depict the routes ridden over a four day period. The green push pins depict locations where the SPOT sent out "OK" messages.
SPOT also features a "TRACK" function. This function is designed to relay out a message depicting its location every 10 minutes. I have set up this file to show the timestamps for each "TRACK" location that was successfully sent out. View Map and then zoom-in to a map width of 7.5 miles and follow these pins to locate areas where there are more than 10 minute gaps between each point. These are the areas where "TRACK" messages were not successfully relayed out due to terrain obstruction etc. |
